Betty Mildred Dalton, 81, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed away peacefully Monday March 21st, 2011 surrounded by family and in the loving care of Hospice of Palm Beach County. She was born on February 2nd, 1930 in Pamplin, VA., the daughter of Charles and Ellen Slayton.
She is survived by three sons, Steven (Sarah) of Bethlehem, PA, Eddie (Pam) of Oxford, NC and Kevin (Linda) of Palm Beach Gardens; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick, Brandon, Rebecca, Kyle, Conner, Kyra and Noah. She is also survived by her brother Charles Walter Slayton (Bonnie). She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Corey.
Betty, aka Mildred, was employed by the CIA and stationed in the Middle East then returned home to raise her family. After raising her three sons she continued her career, this time, with the Department of Defense until retirement in 1995. She moved to Florida to be close to family.
She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Park where she was an active member in the choir, and past President of the Super Senior Group. She was also involved with the National Assoc. of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE).
Friends and family are invited to attend a Burial Service on Friday, July 22nd, 2011, at 11:30am at Pamplin Cemetery, Pamplin, VA.

Betty Mildred Slayton Dalton, 81, of Palm Beach Gardens, went to be with her Lord peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2011 surrounded by family and in the loving care of Hospice of Palm Beach County.

She was born on February 2, 1930 in Pamplin, VA, the daughter of Charles Walter and Ellen Slayton.

She was employed by the CIA and stationed in the Middle East then returned home to raise her family. Later she continued her career, this time, with the Department of Defense until retirement in 1995.

She is survived by three sons, Steven Dalton (Sarah) of Bethlehem, PA, Eddie Dalton (Pam) of Oxford, NC and Kevin Dalton (Linda) of Palm Beach Gardens; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick, Brandon, Rebecca, Kyle, Conner, Kyra and Noah. She is also survived by her brother. Charles Walter Slayton (Bonnie).

She was predeceased by her parents and grandson, Corey.

After retirement, she moved to Florida to be close to family. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Park where she was an active member in the choir, and past President of the Super Senior Group.

She was also involved with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE).

Memorial Services was conducted on Friday, March 25, 2011, at The First Baptist Church of Lake Park, 625 Park Ave, Lake Park, FL 33403.
