[Edmore-June R. McClellan, 83, Edmore, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Mecosta County General Hospital, Big Rapids.
She was born June 24, 1917, in Hart, the daughter of John L. and Carrie Gertrude Jacobs.
She had a master's degree in education and taught in Muskegon and Oceana County schools until moving to Cedar Lake in 1958. She then taught at Losey School, Vestaburg, Riverdale, and Sumner Schools until her retiement in 1976. She was a member of the Edmore Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She married Gerald H. McClellan on June 27, 1941, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death in Nov. 21, 1997. She also was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Brandel and Bette Chadwell; brothers, Ralph Jacobs and Charles Jacobs; one granddaughter, Rebecca; and one grandson, Ron.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Ruby McClellen of Hart, Harry and Kathy McClellan of Vestaburg; one daughter, Beverly Bajena of Mount Pleasant; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; six sisters-in-law, Vera, Joyce, Rosetta, Betty Naomi, Vivian; four brothers-in-law, Ivan, Bud, Emanuel, Louis and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Edmore Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Paul Yeoman officiating. Interment is in Richland Township Cemetery, Vestaburg.
Friends may visit at Stebbins-McCullough Chapel, Edmore, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
