Wesley Robert Barry

Wesley Robert Barry passed away July 18, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Wesley was born January 11, 1925 to Barney G. and Irene Mary (Ragan) Barry. Wesley served in World War II in the Navy. He was a Brick Mason/Contractor in excess of 50 years. His craftsmanship is displayed throughout Sacramento and nearby communities. He was often referred to as the plumb line of the business world not just the brick laying business. His ethics were of the highest caliber.
He was preceded in death by his parents Barney and Irene Barry, his brother Wilbur Barry, his sister Ruth Griggs, and his grandson Hunter . Wes was raised in Lincoln Calif., and lived there throughout his childhood. He attendeded the Lincoln schools and was involved in several activities in the town. He later met Alberta Lunceford at a Bricklayers dance. They fell in love and were married July 18, 1947. They were married 64 years at the time of this death.
Wes is survived by his wife Alberta, daughter Sue Carlson (Bob) of Lincoln, daughter Margie McKinney (Chris) of Granite Bay, son Bob Barry (Joe) of Idaho, son Rick Barry (Pam) of Granite Bay.
He will also be remembered and memories cherished by 10 grandchildren and 17 great - grandchildren.
There will be a service to celebrate his life Monday July 25, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone Community Church located at 3245 Cottage Way Sacramento, Calif. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Cerebral Palsy or a charity of your choice.
