Inez Odell Pipes 84,of Avery, Texas died Thursday April 3,2003 in Daingerfield, Texas. Mrs. Pipes was born May 29,1918 in the West Bowie community. She was retired from Red River Army Depot, a former schoolteacher, and a member of Avery United Methodist Church. She was preceaded in death by her husband, Herman Wilmer Pipes, on April 7,2002. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Strickland of Daingerfield; and Sue Floyd of Lewisville, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sharon Pipes of Redwater, Texas; three brothers, Joe Brower of Fort Worth, Texas; and Carlton Brower and Arlton Brower of DeKalb, Texas; one sister, Dimple Boyd of Carlsbad, N.M.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Avery United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pete Adrian officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery, under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
