Doris was the daughter of Arthur Redifer Gearhart(18 Dec 1873(Ohio)-28 Jan 1971 ( Paradise, CA) and Floy McLaughlin ( Nov 1875)
Per 1930 Census, husband was Fred Jarred who was born in (Middle Branch) Nebraska 19 Feb 1887. Fred and Doris were married in 1926. They had a son, Fred Junior, who was 1 year and 4 months old At the time they were living in Strathmore, Tulare Co, CA, per 1930 census, son, Hugh Marion Jarred was born on 20 Sep 1930 in Strathmore, Tulare Co, CA. Doris had been very active with the Paradise Gem & Mineral club for a number of years.

PARADISE: A service for Doris Jarred, 96, of Paradise, will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in the Chapel of the Pines mortuary.
She died Friday, Sept 13, 1996, at a Marysville convalescent hospital.
Mrs Jarred was born Feb. 27, 1900, in Tustin to Arthur and Floy Gearhart.
In 1921 she graduated from the University of Southern California.
She married Fred Martin Jarred, Married: 1924 in Tulare, California, United States Fred died in 1971 (should read 1938, her father died in 1971)
She was a co-owner of the Feather River Tannery in Oroville, and worked as a
seamstress for 40 years.
Mrs Jarred was a charter member of the Paradise Gem and Mineral Club and the
Native Daughters of the Golden West. She was also involved with the
American Legion Auxiliary No. 259. Veterans of Foreign Wars and Historical
Society.
Survivors include 2 sons, Fred of Lancaster and Hugh of Paradise: a daughter,
Floy Goodman of Marysville, *a brother Hugh Gearhart of Paradise; and 13
grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery.
Note: * brother Hugh Gearhart had died in 1995 in Napa, CA.
