Robert W. Lewis
Townsend-- Robert W. Lewis, 82, a longtime Townsend resident, died at a local hospial Saturday of natural causes.
His funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Deep Creek Cemetery. Connors Funeral Home of townsend is handing arrangements.
He was born July 25, 1913, in Sheldon, N.D. and moved to Townsend in 1974. He worked as a logger.
He married Mary Hazelhart on October 7, 1939, in Darby. She died Aug. 1, 1988. Lewis enjoyed golfing and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters Karen Frisbie of Helena and Connie Nelso of Belgrade; a brother, Kenneth Olson of Racine, wis.; a sister Avis Gloff of Rodeo, Calif; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A son, Robert D. Lewis, died in 1985.

Robert W. Lewis, 82, of Townsend died Saturday, Feb 10, 1996 at St. Peter's Hospital in Helena of natural causes.
Lewis was a logger and resident of Townsend since 1974.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel in 1988; a son Robert D. Lewis in 1985; and grandson, Larry Allen Lewis in 1989.
Lewis is survived by two daughters, Karen Frisbie of Helena and; Connie Nelson of Belgrade; a brother, Kenneth Olson, of Racine, Wis.; one sister, Avis Gloff of Rodeo, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and longtime companion Agnes Killorn of Townsend.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb 13, at the United Methodist CHurch of Townsend with Rev. Joseph Easton officiating. Burial will follow at Deep Creek Cemetery.
Connors Funeral Home arranged the services.
