Kathleen Ann Butrick passed away on Tuesday, 11 Jan 2011, in Ridgecrest, CA.
Kathleen (or "Kat" as many knew her) was born in Long Beach, CA in July of 1946 to Otis Ray and Evelyn (Clavet) Butrick. She attended local schools and graduated from Burroughs High school. Even though she relocated a few times, she always came back to Ridgecrest.
Throughout her life, Kathleen was a person of many varied interests and activities. But her primary focus was always on her daughter Shannon Marie Fox. Though life wasn't "easy", she kept an immaculate home, and made sure all needs were met. Her absolute love for Shannon was a driving force. She was very devoted and extremely protective of those she loved. Being very strong and vocal, she was someone you really wanted in your corner. And could also be a fierce opponent. Those whose lives were touched by her will never forget her.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter Shannon Marie Fox; her grandchildren Amanda and Christian Young; sisters Charleen Senn, Janie Montgomery, and Rachel Stafford; brother David Butrick; nephews and a niece and their families; an extended family and wide group of friends.
