Juan Asevedo, 61, a life time resident of Silver City died in the Veteran s hospital in Tucson Sunday evening. Mr. Asevedo was a retired employee of a Silver City lumber year and also a veteran of WWII. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lupe Asevedo of Silver City; two sons, Augustine of Deming and Joaquin of Silver City; two grandchildren; two brothers, Louis of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Gilbert of Trinidad, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Jesusita Serna and Mrs. Caroline Marquez both of Los Angeles and Mrs. Beatrice Nevarez of Albuquerque. Rosary services will be held Thursday evening at 730 p.m. in the Curtis Mortuary chapel. Mass will be Friday at 930 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with burial following in the Silver City Catholic cemetery.∼NEW MEXICO
