Sarah Jane Noble was born in England on June 14, 1853. With her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Noble, she came to the United States when rather young. The family settled for a time in Illinois and it was at Galva, in that state, on February 1, 1872 that she became the bride of William Luther Brooks.
The Brooks came to Wyoming in 1886 and in 1900 settled at Douglas. This has been her home since that time. Her husband, long in the employ of the city, passed away about 20 years ago.
Three sons survive: Frank, George, and William, all residents or Manville or vicinity.
