LEWIS CASON

1924-2011


Lewis Monroe Cason was born on 28 Apr 1924 in Blackshear, Pierce County, Georgia to John Manuel Cason and Mary Arelia (Clark) Cason. He died on 16 Jul 2011 in Waycross, Ware County, Georgia at the age of 87. He was a farmer, but, also, worked with J. P. Barnard Construction from where he retired. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he participated in the Good Times Sunday School class. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He loved fishing, going to church, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thedius Monita (Boyette) Cason; sisters, Mary Ann Cason, Sarah Bell (Cason) Boyette, Maggie Lee (Cason) Johnson, and Carolyn Virginia Cason; and brothers, Simon Shadrick Cason, Samuel Reppard Cason, James Allen Cason, John Randle Cason, Frank Shexbure Cason, and Everett Lawton Cason. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law, a special friend, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
