Floyd A. "Bunny" Painter, 87, who resided with his niece, Vonnie Hockenberry Cooper, at Three Springs, died at 12:40 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 200 4, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. Born November 9, 1916, in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late John and Louisa (Hamman) Painter. He is survived by a sister, Pearl Stinson of Three Springs, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers: Lelah Gentte, Earl and Paul Painter, Ada Rogers, Onetta Painter, Dorothy Wilson and Samuel Painter, who died in infancy. He attended Dublin Mills Community Church, Hustontown, and formerly attended McKendree United Methodist Church, Three Springs. In his earlier years, he was a Huntingdon County Forest Fire Warden for a number of years. He was primarily a farmer and also assisted geological surveyors measuring the depths of Aughwick Creek. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, at Mart in R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Burial was made in Jordan Cemetery,
Orbisonia, PA.
