Isaac Jackson Briscoe died Saturda, February 23, 1924 at the home of his daughter, Dorothy (Dortho) White, wife of J.R. White,on Elk Mountain. Death was caused by heart failure and old age. Mr. Briscoe was 80 years old and was a native of Missouri. He had lived in the west since 1870 and came to Wallowa county from Weiser, Idaho last September, to make his home with his daughter. Burial was on the White farm on Elk Mountain.
