This William Worsham is the first of his surname to appear in the records of Virginia (in 1640).

He was born by 1619, probably in England.

He emigrated by 1640 when he purchased 200 acres from Seth Ward.

He married abt 1645 Elizabeth Littlebury. She died about 1678 in Bermuda Hundred, Henrico Co., VA.

In 1652, he and George Worsham (a brother?) patented 400 acres in Henrico County, Virginia at the mouth of Old Town Creek extending east toward Swift Creek in present-day Colonial Heights.

About 1657, William served as a commissioner or justice for Charles City County.

He died about 1661 in Henrico Co. or Chesterfield Co., Virginia.

After William's death, Elizabeth Worsham she married 2nd Col. Francis Eppes - 3 children by him.

His widow Elizabeth made two wills to provide for her children by both marriages:
1) Dated 28 August 1678 provided for her 4 children by William Worsham:

Elizabeth Worsham (1651-1736) (wife of Richard Kennon),
Mary Worsham (1658-????) (marr. Marr. Joseph Royall (1646–1732))
