Margaret Elizabeth "Marge" Houser , 82, of Walkerton, Ind., passed away at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Ind.

She was born July 12, 1921, in South Bend, as the daughter of Michael and Julia Molnar, and had lived in this area all of her life. In February 1943, in North Liberty, Ind., as Margaret E. Molnar, she married Grant D. Houser , who passed away on Feb. 8, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Houser on Oct. 2, 1993; and by two brothers, Gene Molnar in 1955 and Frank Molnar in 1997.

She is survived by her son, Craig J. Houser of Merrillville, Ind.; and by four sisters, Sophia Tokay of Granger, Ind., Judy Wiktorowski of Walkerton, Ind., Helen Ayers of Plymouth, Ind., and Elsie Mroczkiewicz of South Bend. She is also survived by three brothers, Andrew Barna of Texas, Lou Molnar of South Bend and Steve Molnar of LaPaz, Ind.

Mrs. Houser was active in Cub Scouts as a den mother, was a 4-H instructor, and Band Boosters, through John Glenn High School.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville, 314 S. Michigan St., where private services will follow. Rev. Titus Matemavi, chaplain at Memorial Hospital, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, North Liberty.

Contributions in memory of Mrs. Houser may be made to the American Heart Association, 2410 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
