Jefferson Davis Kiser was born in 1862 in Russell County, Va to Elder Andrew Anthony Kiser and Jane Dotson. He married Nancy Tennessee Kiser, daughter of Abraham and Mary Counts Kiser march 13, 1892. They moved to Scott County around 1902 where Jefferson bought a farm about 3 miles east of Gates City. They had the following children: Gracie,( Mrs EC Redwine), Eva,(Mrs. Cleve Campbell). Amnie ( Mrs MM Lilly), Collie Jasper, married Mildred Creech. Dasie, Married Dewey Quillen. Gould GA, married Maude Mae Fletcher. Dola, died young in 1929 auto accident. Paul died in 1932 in a hunting accident. Clyde Lee, a twin, married Loretta Williams. Charlie Mack a twin, married Priscilla Katie Davis. There is also a son named Kyle listed in only one census, 1920. He is 18 years old.
