Gladys Estell Sims Bain, 92, died Feb. 20, 2015, in the Cibolo Creek Rehabilitation Center in Boerne, near San Antonio. Funeral services will be held March 7 at 1 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Townsen Cemetery. She was born to Leona and Edward E. Sims Sr. on June 22, 1922 in Lampasas County, and she lived there most of her life.

Gladys Estell Sims Bain was the third daughter to Edward Earnest Sim and Leona Mae Strader Sims born on June 22,1922 in Lampasas County where she lived most all her life.

Gladys married Robert Hansford Bain June 18,1932 in the Presbyterian Church in Adamsville,TX. Where she was a member.Gladys graduated from Lampasas High School.one of her first jobs away from home was plucking chickens, then she worked for Piggly Wiggly. She learned to do book keeping and went to work for Paul's Electric.

Gladys always loved sports,she played ball, basket ball, golf, and bowling she traveled with friends for tournaments. She never gave up support of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.

Gladys died at age 92, Feburary 20,2015., she was in Cibolo Creek Rehabiliation center in Boerne,TX. Services will be March 7,2015 at 1:pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel later to be buried next to her husband at the Townsen Cemetery.,Adamsville,TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,one brother,and all 5 of her sisters. survivors one brother, two sister in laws, daughter,son-in-law and grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
