Elayne Merritt Cooper, age 76, died April 20, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born July 2, 1921 in Afton, Wyoming to Therin and Ida Taysom Merritt. She married Robert Charles Cooper January 1, 1947 in Afton, Wyoming. She suffered from M.S. for 35 years and she now is at peace. She was an active member of the M.S. Society. She loved her grandchildren very much. Elayne was a lifelong Detroit Tiger fan and a Utah Jazz fan.Survived by her husband, Robert; son, Michael J. (Denise) Cooper, of South Jordan; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Collin, and Christy; one sister, LaRue (Denzel) Wood, Logan; four nieces and nephews and their children. Preceded in death by one niece.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the MS society.
