Final rites for Mrs. Ada Longest, 88, of English, widow of Guy Longest, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Denbo Funeral Home in English. Michael Gillespie, minister of the English Christian Church, officiated. Mrs. Longest was a member of said church. Burial was in the Land Cemetery
Mrs. Longest died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 1976, at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She had been a patient at the Lincoln Hills Nursing Center for sometime.
She is the daughter of the late Henry Andrew & Elmira Richard, born on January 7, 1881 in Crawford County.
Survivors included a son, Julian Guy Longest, of Madison; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
