He was born in Munjor Kansas and came to Waverly from Hays. While living in Waverly he farmed a number of years also worked for the Santa Fe Railway shops in Topeka until about four years ago.
He married Lidwina Leiker Nov 27, 1928
Survivors include his widow, three sons Harold , Norman and Roy, seven daughters Mrs Wilma Hull and Mrs Marilyn Yockey of Wichita, Mrs Janet French, Mrs Ellen Fellers, Miss Carol Ann Korbe, Luella Jane Korbe and Judy Ann Korbe , a brother Henry three sisters Mrs George Urban, Mrs Albert Ruder and Mrs Peter Phannenstiel and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Felix, Fedel and Chris and two sisters Mrs Jack Schumocher and Mrs Fedel Phannenstiel
