Services for Adeline Ruder were held Friday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; Father Don Zimmerman officiated. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials have been established with the Thomas More Prep-Marian High School and the Capuchins Retirement Fund, Victoria.

Ruder, 93, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995 at the Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was born June 1, 1901 in Munjor to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Rohr) Korbe.

She married Albert Ruder on Feb. 16, 1920 in Munjor. He died April 29, 1978.

She worked as a housekeeper at St. Anthony Hospital and retired from the Fort Hays State University custodial department. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, Albert and Anthony, both of Hays, and Nicholas of Shawnee; a daughter, Armella Lonnon of Ellis; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Albinus, Julius and Virgil, a grandson, a great-grandson, five brothers and four sisters.

Casket bearers were Rod Ruder, Greg Gabel, Jeff Miller, Russ Ruder, Brad Catt, Steve Sharpe. Honorary casket bearers were Kevin Fonte and Ronald Ruder.
