Mrs. Betty Jean Burns Adams, age 69, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at Huntsville Hospital.She was a native of Lauderdale County and had resided in Colbert County since 1982. Betty was retired from Food World and Kroger grocery stores, a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ for many years.Visitation will be today, Aug. 4, 2005, from noon-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be Gerald Sockwell.Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Claudia Marsh.Betty is survived by her husband, Al Adams, of Tuscumbia; two daughters, Debbie Adams Marsh and husband, Jimmy, Cathy Adams Cagle and husband, Tracy; two sons, Jim Adams and wife, Glenda, and Larry Adams and wife, Crystal, all of Florence; four grandchildren, Amy Adams, Jamy and Logan Marsh and Bethany Cagle.Pallbearers will be Jimmy Marsh, Jim Adams, Larry Adams, Tracy Cagle, Mathis Henry and Mike Holland.Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid hummingbird lover and provided numerous bird feeders for the birds and spent many hours watching them.Greenview Funeral Home, of Florence, is directing.
