BURNSVILLE - Bobby M. Barnes, 66, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Shoals Hospital. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church and was a Navy veteran. He retired from Reynolds Metals Co. after 27 years of employment. Following retirement, he worked at Burnsville Elementary School and Tishomingo County Vocational Center. He was an assistant instructor at Muscle Shoals Technical College and was a security guard at various places. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen with Bro. Louie Williams and Bro. Billy Paul Feltman officiating. Burial will be in the White Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Pickwick, Tenn.

Survivors include one son, John M. and Lee Barnes of Burnsville; two daughters, Angie and Mark Wallace of Corinth and Kellie and Stacy Crum of Glen; three brothers, C. W. Barnes of Burnsville, Billy Barnes of Corinth and Eugene Barnes of Texas; three sisters, Mildred Riggs, Nelma Mitchell and Rejetta Leatherwood, all of Corinth; six grandchildren, Brad Guthrie of Nashville, Tenn., Barron Guthrie, 1st Class Petty Officer, Navy, of Jacksonville, Fla., Ryan Wilson and Jessica Wilson of Burnsville, Halie Crum and Marisa Crum of Glen; one great-grandchild, Greylee Elizabeth Guthrie of Cairo.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Jean Barnes; his parents, Raymond and Estelle Barnes; two brothers, Lowell Edward Barnes and Bobby Earl Barnes; and two sisters, Myra Joan Fooshee and Donna Ruth Barnes.

Pallbearers will be J. T. Smith, Bobby Johnson, Harold Boothe, Larry Brown, Arlie South and J. B. Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Scott Segars, Lucian Epperson, Jesse Whitehead and Jeff Morelock.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, NCICFUL, P. O. BOX 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454, or to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
