Karen was a loving mother, passionate artist, and devout liberal. She was an advocate of women's rights, and women's issues were often featured in her artwork. She had an independent spirit, a rapier wit, and a generous soul. Karen's interests and enjoyment came from politics, an appreciation of art, humor, gambling, traveling and classical music.
Karen was born July 15, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio to Dr. Roger and Margaret Egeberg and schooled in Los Angeles. Throughout her life, she frequently visited the Egeberg family ranch in the hills above Cambria. She graduated from Bennington College in 1961. She was married to Richard Warmer.
