Marcel Konitzer Jr., 60, Manitowoc, died peacefully Saturday morning, March 19, 2011 with family by his side at Manitowoc Health & Rehab. He was born February 19, 1951 in Oconto Falls to Marcel Sr. and Marie (Vorron) Konitzer. Marcel Jr. was born with Downs Syndrome and touched the lives of everyone who knew him. We all learned about compassion, love and understanding from Jr. He worked at Holiday House in Manitowoc and through the years, participated in Special Olympics.

Survivors are his mother, Marie Konitzer, Oconto Falls; four brothers, Allen (Ginny) Konitzer, Austin, TX; William (Jane) Konitzer, Little Chute; Tim (Debbie) Konitzer, Freedom; Roger (Dawn) Konitzer, Kaukauna; one sister, Lana (Aaron) Geurts, DePere; one sister-in-law, Diane Konitzer, Lugoff, SC; many special cousins, nieces and nephews who dearly loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marcel Sr. on March 30, 1995 and one brother, Joseph on September 24, 2008.
