William J. Beebee passed away December 24th, 1931, aged 86 years, 11 mos. and 3 days. He was born in Oneida county, N.Y , Jan. 21. 1845, but had lived in Cayuga County except for a few years in his early life. He was a farmer and followed that vocation until about 1907, when he moved to Union Springs where he lived until the death of his wife, Amy Dickinson Beebee, July 2nd, 1922. He was nearly blind from 7 years of age and totally so for the last seven or eight years. Mr. Beebee was of the Friends faith and religion, always sincere in the same at home and abroad. Funeral services were held at the home of his son, Eben B. Beebee, Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27. Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Union Springs.
