Nyling Gammage Sr. ("Mr. G"), 57, of Sorin St., South Bend, IN; was called home on Friday, April 28, 2000, at Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on August 24, 1942, in Belzoni, MS; to the union of Robert and Jessie Gammage, Sr., who both preceded him in death. He had one sister, Thelma Cornelius, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his companion, Delena Lewis, one daughter, Barbara Gammage, fours sons, Tony, Tommy, Nyling, Jr., and Kevin all of South Bend, IN; and one stepdaughter, LaShawna Love, of Indianapolis, IN; 14 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Robert, Jr., (Marcia) of South Bend, IN; Carl (Brenda), and Albert (Bertha) of Atlanta, GA.

He retired from A. M. General after 30 years of service. Nyling will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He was a devoted father, stepfather, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Derby.

He brought joy and happiness into the lives of those he came in contact with. His memory will forever live in a special place in our hearts.
