Mary Lomascolo, 74, of Clinton, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on March 25, 2003, in the Crestview Nursing Center in Clinton. Services will be held Friday at the Calvert Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mary was born in DeWitt County on Feb. 6, 1929, a daughter of Harold Walker Evans and Beulah Mae Bird, and stepfather Orin Case, who raised her most of her life. Orin preceded her in death. She married Guy W. "Bill" Lomascolo on Aug. 15, 1960 in Bloomington. He passed away Dec. 1, 1999. Survivors include one stepson, Bill (Connie) Lomascolo III of El Paso; one brother, Robert (Gloria) Case of Clinton; five sisters, Arlene (Lew) Hoffman, Nina Evans and Virginia Hickman, all of Clinton, Judy Kirkham of Boynton Beach, Florida, and Ila (Willis) Andrews, of Dunlap; three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, including Walker Evans and Dorothy Alsup. She attended the First Christian Church of Clinton as well as the United Methodist Church in Clinton. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 30 of Bloomington. She owned and operated Mary's Cafe and Bill's Meat Market and Processing, both in Bloomington. [Unknown Source]
