Sarah Pamella "Meade" Strother Kelly (Granny) was a Grand Daughter of the Confederacy and the 2nd wife of Walter Theo (Pappy) Kelly. Her first husband was Mayo Maricle.

Her grandmother was Suzi Johnson (full blooded Indian) from Oklahoma and her grandfather was Gideon John (Gadi/Gidi) Johnson. Gadi received a pension from the (CSA) Confederate States of America, after serving in the Confederate army.

She was 63 years, 8 months and 3 days old, and was a mother and grandmother. She made the best Banana Pudding and Co Co. She was one of Jesus' Special Baptists and a Christian. She loved to play cards.

She died of Myocardiac Infraction (Heart Attack) after 3 days in the Attaway Clinic & Hospital In Ville Platte Louisiana. She left a lot of love all over Oakdale Louisiana and with her family. She is laid to rest under a shady evergreen tree in the Cryer Cemetery next to her husband (Walter Theo Kelly) and her son W.T. Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her parents - Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Johnson and Azariah Columbus Strother Sr., as well as brothers Joe Vinnie Strother and Azariah Columbus Strother Jr and sister Nancy Ophelia Strother. Since her death, all of her siblings as well as her children have passed away.
