Philipsburg - Funeral services will be held at David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, Monday at 11 a.m. for Kermit N. Baumgardner, 100, a resident of the Presbyterian Home of the Moshannon Valley, Philpisburg, and formerly of Windy hill, Philipsburg RD, who died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at the home.
Born Oct. 2, 1902, in Winburne, he was a son Herbert and Elizabeth (Heffler) Baumgardner.
He was a member of First Evangelical Lutherna Church, Philipsburg.
Mr. Baumgardner was a heavy equipment operator for Puttman and Green of Philipsburg.
On Nov. 10, 1928, in Clearfield, he wed Dagna Johnson, who died Oct. 12, 1997.
He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Taylot of Mount Dora, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rudy (Gladys) Case of Pierpont, Ohio.
Mr. Baumgardner was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Betty Shingledecker; and three brothers, Leroy, John and Willis Baumgardner.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Churech, Laurel and Third Sts., Philipsburg, PA 16866
