English crime fiction writer. She was born in Cheshire and educated at King's College, London, where she took an honours in English, and served in the Women's Royal Airforce from 1949 to 1963. During that time she was stationed for two years in Germany, and also spend six month living with a Russian emigre family as part of a Russian language course, and qualified for confidential work in intelligence. She is the creator of; "Eddie Brown", "Constance Ethel Morrison Burke", and "Wilfred Dover".
