MY UNCLE LINDSAY FOUGHT IN WWII TO PROTECT HIS COUNTRY.HE RECIEVED THE PURPLE HEART AND OTHER METALS BUT DID NOT LIVE TO SEE THEM. HE DIED FIGHTING AGAINST HITLER AND HIS IDEAL OF AN ARYAN RACE.

He was the son of Mr & Mrs T I Shoe of Concord NC. He entered the service 24 November 1942. He was killed in action 11 February 1945 in Luxembourg.
He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, the EAMET Medal, the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart.
