John Corra Beesley, the son of Randall G. and Nancy Beesley was born October 13, 1877 near Galla___ Mo. and passed away at Hadley Memorial Hospital, Hays Kans.
__e 11, 1958 at the age of ___ years and 8 months. When he was ____ months old his parents moved to Osborne County, Kansas, near Waldo where he grew to manhood. In 1909 he went with his brother Allen and his uncle, Joe Orten, to Gove county, where each took out homesteads in the Missouri Flats neighborhood. October 10, 1902, Mr. Beesley was united in marriage to Nellie May Gorham and to this home were born three sons and 5 daughters and are all living. They continued to live on the homestead until August 1956, when they purchased a new home at 610 W. 13th Hays, Kansas. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in October 1952 at the homestead and their 55th at the home in Hays last October.

Survivors include his wife Nellie, his children Fred Beesley, Oakley; Alice Beesley 408 W. 8th Hays; Nancy Heard, Russell; Mrs. Grace Dunlap, Gove; Ray Beesley; Mary Beesley, 1538 Delrose Street, Wichita; Mrs. Edith Homolka, Holyrood; James Beesley, Dighton, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren and _____ great grandchildren; his brothers Allen of Gove, Sam of Wakeeney, Kas. Jim of Boise, Idaho.

Funeral services for J. C. Beesley were held at Gove Methodist church Friday afternoon, June 13,

Rev. Roger Shanks of Gove and Rev. E. Loyal Miles of Hays, _____ clergymen. Arrangements were ______orfords Chapel, Hays.

Mrs. R.S. Coberly was soloist. She was accompanied at the piano by Carol Lynn Coberly.

Mrs. H.W. Coberly was organist.

Pallbearers were Fordie Brown; Fred Crippen; Harold Lundgren; Jim ________ns; R S Coberly; Frank Hefner. Burial was in Gove cemetery.
