DOROTHY LILLY NICKENS THOMASSIE "BUNCH" A homemaker and a resident of Gonzales, she died Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Gonzales. She was 74 and a native of Galvez. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Billy Minyard. Interment in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Galvez. Survived by: a daughter and son-in-law, Josie Nicole and William Brian,Gonzales; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Joseph Sr. and Margaret Thibeau Thomassie, Gonzales; two stepdaughters, Nell Bercegeay and Jane Rouyea, both of Gonzales; a stepson, Perry Thomassie, Gonzales; a sister, Maybelle Sharp, Ethel; three grandchildren, Brandy Billiot Wilkinson, Washington State, Jerrilynn Brian Bochner and C.J. Thomassie Jr., both of Gonzales; and a great-grandchild, Mason Berlin Wilkinson, Washington State. Preceded in death by her husband, Percy Joseph Thomassie; parents, Sidney and Ida Roddy Nickens; three brothers, Earlvage, Richard Lee and Sidney Vinton Nickens; a half-sister, Adele Persick Simpson; and two half-brothers, John Millard and Henry Melvin Persick. Pallbearers will be David Sharp, Marshall Sharp, C.J. Thomassie, Corey Richard, Beau LeBlanc and Jerrilynn Brian Bochner. Honorary pallbearers are Cliff Nickens, Freddie Rouyea and Pope Sharp
