DIED AT TAVISTOCK
A respected citizen of Tavistock passed away at her home on Sunday, Sept. 9th, in the person of Magdalena Bachert, wife of Jacob Hoffman, aged 57 years, 10 months and 12 days. The deceased was born in Mannheim, Waterloo County. In 1872 she married Jacob Hoffman, the young couple living for a time in Mannheim, and afterwards in Neustadt, Walkerton, Listowel, Wilmot and Baden. They subtowel [sic], Wilmot and Baden. They subsequently removed to Tavistock, where deceased has resided for the past twenty years. A husband and family of four children survive.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, services being conducted by Rev. Mr. Wahl.
