Abbagail Basicker Expires near Here

Mrs. Abbagail Basicker, age 82 died yesterday at 11 p.m. at the home of a daugher, Mrs. Hanna [Hama] Stottlemyer, R.F.D. 2, Alexandria, following an illness of three years. Her condition had been serious for the past four months. A native of Madison county, Mrs. Basicker had spent thirty years in Henry county. She was a daughter of Isaac and Sarah Ann Aleshire.

The body was removed to the George McCarty funeral home at Fortville, and will be returned this evening to the home of the daughter to lie in state. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Middletown M. E. Church, and burial will be in Painter Cemetery near that city.

Surviving besides the daughter at whose home she died are two other daughters, Mrs. William Fatzinger, of New Castle and Mrs. Bessie Hendricks, of Plato, Mo.; two sons, William Basicker, New Castle, and Josiah Basicker, of Middletown; four step-children, Mrs. Laura Adams and George Basicker, both of this city; Mrs. Sarah Miller, Converse, and John H. Basicker, of North Manchester; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
