He was a son of Clarence Copsey, formerly of Watertown and now residing in Springbrook, Wis.
Pvt. Copsey was born in Dodgeville and was 25 years old at the time of his death. He attended Watertown public schools.
Besides his father he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Edward Langer, Waterloo: Mrs. Harvey Nelson, Theinsville: and three brothers, Clifford route 3, Watertown: Lester and Claude, both of Watertown.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hafemeister funeral home. The Rev. Don T. Stannard of First Methodist church will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. The Beaudion-Koehler-Draeger post, Veterans of Foreign Wars will have charge of services at the grave.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday starting at 7:45 p.m. and up to the time of the funeral Thursday.
