Mrs. Clarence H. Copsey, 304 South Monroe street, died last night at 8:30 in St. Mary's hospital. She had been ill for some time and entered the hospital June 2.

She was the former Hallie May Atkinson and was born in Mt. Zion, Wis. March 29,1890. Her parents were George W. and Ada Belle Cook Atkinson. She married Mr. Copsey in 1907 at Mt. Sterling, Wis. and they came to Watertown from Dodgeville 24 years ago.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, Clifford, Oak Grove; Lester and Claude, Watertown; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Langer, Waterloo, and Mrs. Harvey Nelson, Columbus.

Mrs. Copsey was a gold star mother of World War II, a son, Vernon killed in action in France. There are 17 grandchildren. Mrs. Lyman Rhodes, Watertown, is a sister and there are two brothers, Walter, West Allis, and George, Denver, Colo. Another brother preceded her in death.

The funeral will be held Friday, with services at 1:30 p.m. at the Schmutzler funeral home, followed by services at 2:00 p.m. in the First Methodist church. The rev. Don T. Stannard will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.
