Her husband died in 1887 and her son died in 1899. She remained in Jackson caring for her dear friend Rosa Froelich from about 1900 to 1909 at the Froelich home on Broadway. After Rosa died in 1909 Christina moved to Alameda where her brother John A C Reimers lived. She died in Alameda and her remains were brought to Jackson for burial with her husband and son.
Christina's funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Jackson.
Her brothers were John A C Reimers (mem. # 119274529, 1840-1912) and Ferdinand Reimers who remained in Germany.
