Edward W. Stone, son of Calvin and Eliza Stone, was born at Athens, Missouri on November 4, 1855 and departed this life November 23, 1920. At the time of his death he was 65 years and 19 days of age.

On January 25, 1882 he was united in marriage to Ida J. Morris, who survives him.

To this union ten children were born, seven sons and three daughters, two sons preceding him in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, five sons, three daughters, two grandchildren, also four brothers and three sisters and a host of friends.

He was a devoted husband and a true and loving father. He will be greatly missed in the family circle.

Ed was of a very spiritual nature always looking to God as his helper and guide at all times. Through his brief sickness he expressed himself of his happiness and trust in God and said "All is well with my soul." He spoke of his departed friends that he would soon be with them.
