Wayne lived his entire life in Smithfield, Utah. He graduated from North Cache High and worked at Cache Valley Dairy for more than 45 years. He married Linda Kathryn Roskelley and together they raised their family of four children.
Wayne enjoyed going for leisure rides, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda; children: Marilyn (Chuck) Winn of Riverton; Brian (Andrea) Pickett of Smithfield; Jed Pickett of Smithfield; a daughter-in-law, Tavia Pickett; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Keith (Lynette) Pickett; and sisters: Vicky Sue (Reed) Jenkins and Annette (Eldon) Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kent Pickett.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Smithfield City Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 S. Main, Smithfield.
