RAYMOND M. OTTING

Raymond Mathias Otting, 59, died Wednesday, June 23, at 9 p.m. at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.

Friend s called at the Richard Devaney Funeral Home in Cascade until the time of the funeral, Saturday, June 26 at 10 a.m. to St. Patrick's church, Garryowen. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Cassidy read the Requiem Mass and officiated at the burial services.

He was born October 30, 1905 at Bernard, la., son of Joseph and Kathryn (Ressler) Otting. He farmed in the Bernard area all of his life He was a member of the Fourth Degree Dubourg Assembly of Dubuque and the Cascade Council Knights of Columbus. The Fourth Degree Knights stood honor guard Friday evening at the funeral home and Saturday at the church.

Survivors include 5 sisters, Mrs. Agnes McCarthy, Bernard; Mrs. Thomas (Loretta) Cashman, Monticello; Mrs. Cyril (Rosabella) Schmitt, Waukon; Mrs. Andy (Helen) Laban, Bernard; and Mrs. Lloyd (Elda) Takes, Monticello; 3 brothers, Henry, Farley; John and Joseph, Bernard; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Al Carlson, Earl Miller, Mike Melloy, Francis Schmitt, Joe Leonard, Elmer Melloy, Ray Donovan and Joe McDonnell.
