GALVA - Corky Pierce , 67, of Galva died at 9:04 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at his home.
Born Oct. 1, 1935, in Galva to Fremont and Irene Pierce , he married Barb Horkstrom. He later married Kathy Nordstrom. He then married Eileen Peterson. He last married Kay Quinney on Sept. 8, 1990. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Kim) Hawkins of Brooklyn, Iowa, and Dianne Bengston of Kewanee; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dwren (Dawn) Boston and Mrs. Jim (Shawn) Hardy, both of Galva; one adopted son, David Pierce , formerly of Galva; one sister, Mrs. Wayne (Betty) Bothwell of Victoria; one brother, Pete (and Bonnie) of Galva; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A member of Hagberg-Hamlin American Legion Post 45, he had served in the Army National Guard.
An electrician, he had worked for Lily-Tulip, CSI Homes, Max Harris Electrician, Diamond Construction and University Energy and had spent most of his career working at Galva Foundry.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Galva.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rux Funeral Home in Galva, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Paul Sowden will officiate. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to OSF St. Mary Hospice Program in Galesburg or to his church.
