Robert Kenneth McDowell, 49, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2007. He was born on October 2, 1957, in Lawrence, Kansas, and was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was a graduate of El Dorado High School where he was a member of the gymnastics team.
In 1975 Bob joined the United States Navy and he proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. Bob then attended UNM and TVI, and soon after he started his career with Motorola where he has been employed for 17 years.
In 1989 he married Elisa D "Lisa" Galbiso in Albuquerque, NM.
Bob's first love was his family. He was a devoted and loving husband to Lisa and a wonderful father and role model for his children. Bob was a fun loving free spirit who loved his family and life with a passion, and went at it full throttle. He would do anything and everything for family, friends, and anyone who needed help. Bob extended his kindness, humor and generosity to everyone he knew, and he will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him.
Robert is survived by his wife, Elisa D (Galbiso) McDowell; his children, Chelsea and Robby; step-son, Steven Galbiso (wife, Yasha); granddaughter, Yasmine Galbiso; his parents, Dorothy Kay and James F McDowell; siblings, James F.
