Alton Cornwell, 75, of Ledbetter died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Cornwell was a retired welder in the river industry.
Surviving are three sons, Rickie (Laura) Cornwell of Ledbetter, Randy (Anna) Cornwell of Ledbetter and James (Sheila) Cornwell of Paducah; one daughter, Janice (Roger) Crass of Paducah; two brothers, Jerry Don Cornwell of Paducah and William Cornwell of Pontiac, Mich.; three sisters, Imogene Charlton, Claudine Smith and Mildred Cox, all of Paducah; as well as 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Cornwell; his parents, Henry "Jack" and Jenettia Cornwell; six brothers, Artell, James, Henry, Jack Jr., Paul and Billy; one sister, Elise Campbell; and one great grandchild.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Roth Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Lee Cemetery at Land Between the Lakes.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
