Nelson Ray Bish, 81, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 1:30 p.m.

Nelson was born in Kittanning, Penn. After graduation from high school in 1948, Nelson joined the United States Navy. He served in the Navy throughout the Korean War. In June 1957, Nelson transferred over to the United States Air Force, where he served his country until his retirement in 1971.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beulah Bish; and by his older brother, Bernard Bish
