Tena Sneller,93,of Sioux Center,died Wednesday,March 19,2003,at Sioux Center Coommunity Nursing Facility.Services will be 10:30a.m.Saturday at Frist Reformed Church in Sioux Center,with Revs.Roger Voskuil and Wayne Sneller officiating.Burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery.Mrs.Sneller was born Jan.24,1910,in Sioux Center,to Henry and Allie(Vander Ploeg)Van Roekel.She attended rural school and Christian school.Then she did housecleaning for many families.She married Henry H.Sneller the couple farmed north of Sioux Center and later northwest of Sioux Center.Mr.Sneller died March 17,1982.She was a homemaker and helped on the farm.She moved into Sioux Center in 1983 were later in 1998.she moved to Nursing Facility.She was a lifetime member of Frist Reformed Church.She enjoyed baking homemade bread and gardening and yard work.Survivors include,two sons,Harvey and Annette Sneller and Stanley and Cynthia Sneller all of Sioux Center;nine grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren;one great-great-graandchild;a brother Henry Van Roekel of Sioux Center;three sisters,Cynthia and Henry Van Regenmorter,Harriet Meendering and Ellen Van Roekel,all of Sioux Center;two sister-in-laws,Grace of Sioux Center and Aldine of Orange City.Preceded in death by her husband,a infant son Herlan;four brothers,Neal,Gerrit,Tony and John;three sisters,Fanny Sneller,Carrie Franken and Fanny in Infancy.
