In Loving Memory of ... my Brother - in - Law, Valentino Acosta Hernandez.

His wife was Hortense Herrera Hernandez.

Valentino A. Hernandez went to be with our Lord on October 21, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Hortense Hernandez, parents Alvino and Benita Hernandez, and brother Frank A. Hernandez.

He is survived by his loving daughter Rosalinda Gonzalez and husband Jerry, and son Valentin Hernandez, Jr., grandchildren; Veronica Saldana and husband Ramon, SFC Raul Hernandez, A1C Christopher Paredes and wife SrA Michelle, Valerie Tuttle and husband Joshua, and Valentin Hernandez, siblings; Refugio A. Hernandez and wife Micaela, Alvino A. Hernandez.

He was a veteran of both the Army and Air Force. Retired after 35 years of Civil Service.

Valentino opened his own business, a pottery shop, which he ran for 30 years.

Special thanks to Christus Santa Rosa VNA hospice, especially Criselda Hernandez, Teri Mathis, Sandra Martinez and Deacon Robert Garza.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm on Monday, October 26, 2009 at Roy Akers Zizik Kearns Funeral Chapels with a Rosary being recited that same evening at 7:00pm. We will depart the funeral home at 9:30am on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
