His record follows as found in claim for pension, S.8201,
Daniel Christian was born in November, 1762 in Berks County,
Pennsylvania; the names of his parents are not known.
While residing in Reading, Pennsylvania, he volunteered in
September, 1776, and served two months as private in Captain George Will's Pennsylvania company. He enlisted in December, 1778, served two months as private in Captain Kit's Pennsylvania Company, and was engaged in guarding the Continental stores and prisoners. He enlisted June 1st, 1730, served as a private in Captain Spoon's company. Colonel Butler's Pennsylvania regiment, and was discharged January 1, 1781.
Daniel Christian lived for four or five years after the
Revolutionary War in Berks County, Pennsylvania, then moved to Washington County, Maryland.
He was allowed pension on his application executed April 4,
1833, while a resident of Boonsborough, Washington County, Maryland. At that time he was referred to as Daniel Christian Senior.

No reference was made in the claim to wife or children.

Died at 85 yrs.
