David Bendus, formerly of Bethlehem, Pa. and Plymouth, Mass. passed peacefully surrounded by family in Bradenton on January 11, 2011. An avid fisherman, a frustrated golfer, and a truly unselfish friend, he touched the lives of countless people during his short 52 years. His smile and enthusiasm for life inspires an extended family that includes his parents, Francis and Susan in Pennsylvania as well as siblings, nephews and nieces across the country. His compassion, caring and dedication will be remembered by those fortunate to have known him. His laughter, love and wit will be profoundly missed, yet never forgotten.

David T. Bendus, 52, formerly of Plymouth, MA passed away on January 11, 2011 in Bradenton, FL. Born: on December 13, 1958 in Bethlehem, PA, he was a son ofFrancis T. and Susan Franczak Bendus. Personal: He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1976. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst specializing in Turf Management. He was employed by White Cliffs in Plymouth, MA and at Lakewood Ranch Country Club in Bradenton, Fl as the assistant supervisor. Survivors: Dave is survived by his loving parents; a brother, Robert of Tallahassee, Fl; and sisters, Mary Ellen, wife of Thom Kavanagh of Nazareth, Susan, wife of Steve Hitcho of Hope Mills, NC and Barbara of Palmer township; nephews, Brian Kavanagh and his wife Adrienne of River Vale, NJ and Joshua Dicker of Palmer Township; nieces, Kimberly Kavanagh of Philadelphia, Anneliese and Clairissa Hitcho of Hope Mills, NC, Sophie Bendus of Georgia and Katie and Lauren Dicker of Palmer Township. Services: A memorial Mass is being planned for a future date. Memorials: Donations can be made to: Notre Dame High School Athletics Dept., 3417 Church Rd., Easton, PA 18045 or Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fl 34238.
