PEORIA -- Sister Rosalie Beck, 81, of 7370 W. Talcott, Chicago, formerly of Peoria, died at 9:35 a.m. Sunday, June 6, 1999, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 11, 1918, in Kickapoo to Freeman and Teresa Nader Beck.

She entered the Order of the Schools of Notre Dame on Oct. 29, 1946. Surviving are three brothers, Maurice, George of Peoria and William of East Peoria.

She taught at Bergan High School from 1971 to 1976. She also worked for the Lakeview Branch of the Peoria Public Library from 1976 to 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Academy of Our Lady Convent, 9535 S. Loomis Ave., Chicago. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the convent. Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Worth. O'Donnell-Bartz-Schultz Funeral Home Ltd. in Chicago is in charge of arrangements.
